Vietnam artillery and emplacements

 

I wanted some artillery pieces for a firebase defence in Vietnam game. I constructed these simple guns using bamboo skewers, balsa wood and plastic counters for the wheels. Not the most wonderful scale models but as they are effectively just terrain pieces I think they do the job. The emplacements were made by making sandbags from rolled paper strips that are flattened and then glued together.

A command bunker was made with sandbags made in the same way with a removable roof of bamboo skewers.
